Trap, Skeet, & Archery Range

The Grand Forks AFB Rod & Gun Club is your on-base resource for trap, skeet, and archery! We offer daily passes, as well as full season memberships to use our ranges, as well as events and shooting challenges throughout the year! We are open to all DoD ID card holders.

What We Offer

Trap & Skeet Range

Our combo trap & skeet range features:

  • Trap house and 5 trap shooting stations
  • Trap machines with corded release system
  • High and low houses and 7 skeet shooting stations
  • Skeet machines with remote release system

Archery Range

The archery range features a wide range of targets for practice, including:

  • Multiple stationary targets at 20/30/40/50/60 yards
  • 2 adjustable distance targets

Patrons are responsible for supplying their own equipment for the Rod & Gun Club including all clays, shells, shotguns, bows, and arrows. Clays are available for purchase at Outdoor Recreation during normal business hours.

Membership & Day Passes

Drop in for just a day, or become a member for unlimited use the entire shooting season! Members also receive discounted admission to Rod & Gun Club shooting events.

Day Pass $5 per person
Individual Membership $50 per person
Family Membership $75 per family of 4

Family membership includes unlimited use for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 13 – 18) from the same household. Additional children (ages 13 – 18) may be added to the membership for $10 more per person.

If you’d like to become a member or purchase a daily pass to use the range, stop into Outdoor Recreation during business hours to get started!

All patrons must have a signed Rod & Gun Club Orientation and Hold Harmless Agreement on file before using the range.

Range Rules & Regulations

  • Always know your target and what is beyond it.
  • The Rod & Gun Club is open to ages 13+
  • Patrons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed on Rod and Gun Club property.
  • No smoking is allowed within 50 feet of any firing line.
  • The shooting of wildlife anywhere on club property is strictly prohibited.
  • All shooting shall be performed within the designated firing lines and cross shooting of targets is prohibited.
  • A ceasefire must always be called by a shooter before a person goes downrange.
  • A ceasefire can be called by any person, for any reason, at any time. Be sure all shooters are aware of the ceasefire before anyone goes down range.
  • Patrons must clean up after themselves before leaving the property.
  • Do not throw trash on the field; please use provided trash cans.
  • Do not use the field as a restroom.
  • Report any range damage, evidence of rule breaking, unsafe conditions, unsafe conduct, or other issues to Outdoor Recreation.
