Youth & Teen Center

The Youth & Teen Center offers a wide variety of year-round activities and sports for youth and teens ages 9 to 18, in a fun, safe, and educational environment!

Serving Youth & Teens ages 9 to 18

Our after school programming, summer camps, special events, and field trips offer high-quality experiences in five core areas:

  • Character & Leadership Development
  • The Arts
  • Fitness & Recreation
  • Health & Life Skills
  • Education & Career Development

Through our instructional programs, social events, and recreational activities, your child will have the opportunity to meet new friends, explore new interests, receive homework help, and much more! Our goal is to empower youth to find their voice and their passion, to make a difference in their community, to become responsible, caring people, and to achieve academic success.

Our programs offer peace of mind for parents, who can confidently conclude that their children are safe and actively engaged when they are present.

Membership & Fees

The Youth & Teen Center, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of America and 4-H, offers a wide variety of daily clubs and activities for a monthly membership fee. Membership includes access to our facility’s recreational offerings and all of our daily clubs and programs. A drop-in rate is available for those wishing to participate on an intermittent basis.

Membership Fee

  • School Year Membership (September – May)
    $25 per month
  • Summer Membership (June – August)
    $30 per month

Transportation from Twining Elementary & Middle School
$10 per month additional

Drop-In Rate
$5 per day

Separate fees may be required to participate in some sports, summer camps, special events, and field trips.

Clubs & Activities

The Youth & Teen Center is THE place to hang out after school! Membership includes access to all of our facility’s awesome recreational activities. We offer:

  • Full basketball court, gym, and sporting equipment
  • Game room featuring pool tables, ping pong, air hockey, giant chess, and more
  • Variety of gaming systems and games including Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch
  • Fine Arts area stocked with art supplies, pianos, photography equipment, and more
  • STEAM area stocked with equipment and supplies for science & engineering projects of all kinds
  • Plus, a Teen Center stocked with their own gaming systems and activities just for teens

Air Force Teen Council

OPEN TO AGES 13 – 18

Make your voice heard! The Air Force Teen Council (AFTC) is a program that offers a platform for teens to voice the needs and priorities of themselves and their peers to Air Force leadership! Teens will have the opportunity to brief leadership on their issues and ideas, and contribute to the well-being of Air Force families. Connections with other bases create a network of teens working to resolve issues and voice concerns to the highest levels of leadership, on behalf of teens across the Air Force.

Boys & Girls Club of America Junior Staff

OPEN TO AGES 10 – 18

Curious about making a difference? Join us for Junior Staff and explore a career in youth or human services, with a special spotlight on Boys and Girls Club of America work! Engage in career development activities, discover the importance of community service, build customer service skills, and be inspired to shape tomorrow as community leaders and volunteers!

Fine Arts Program

Our Fine Arts Program invites youth & teens to explore the magic of digital, fine, applied, and performing arts! Dive into drawing, painting, sculpting, music, drama, and much more! Members will explore their creativity, find new ways to express themselves, and cultivate skills beyond the canvas, including critical thinking, technical prowess, and a heightened cultural awareness.

Keystone Club

OPEN TO AGES 14 – 18

Keystone Club is a leadership club where teens become the decision-makers! Members will elect officers and orchestrate unforgettable events at our center focused on academic success, career preparation, community service, and teen outreach. Guided by our seasoned adult advisor, Keystone Club aims to help teens become good citizens and trailblazing leaders of tomorrow.

Lego Robotics Club

Interested in robotics, engineering, programming, building, and more? Join our Lego Robotics Club! Members will dive into programming and coding, strengthen their critical thinking, and learn how to strategize, innovate, and conquer challenges, all through a whirlwind of fun robotics projects!

Passport 2 Manhood

OPEN TO BOYS AGES 11 – 14

Dive into ‘Passport to Manhood’ and chart your course to become your best self! Members will engage in enlightening discussions, embrace positive behaviors, and navigate the exhilarating path to maturity through 14 sessions, each unlocking a unique facet of manhood, as well as dynamic, interactive activities designed to challenge and inspire!

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count

Need help with homework? Want to boost those grades? Power Hour is an after school homework help and tutoring program that provides strategies, resources, and learning activities to help club members become confident, independent learners and achieve academic success!

This is a great opportunity for kids and teens to get their homework done in a quiet place with support from trained, caring staff!

SMART Girls

OPEN TO GIRLS AGES 9 – 17

Dive into the world of SMART Girls, where confidence blooms and dreams soar! Discover a tailored program that helps girls navigate the path to healthy living, nurture lasting friendships, and learn about fitness, education, and the art of self-confidence. Members will enjoy dynamic discussions, interactive activities, exciting field trips, and mentoring opportunities with adult women.

STEAM Program

Embark on a thrilling journey through science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics! Get ready to dive deep into hands-on activities and projects that are fun, interactive, and designed to challenge and inspire!

Torch Club

OPEN TO AGES 11 – 13

Step into the illuminating world of Torch Club, where character shines and leadership blazes! Torch Club is a leadership club, specially crafted for ages 11 to 13 and designed to develop and strengthen leadership skills, good character, and integrity. Members will elect officers and work together to dive into exciting projects spanning community service, education, health & fitness, and social fun & recreation!

Triple Play

Join the wave of wellness with BGCA’s signature program, Triple Play! In this health and wellness program, members will learn how to care for their minds, bodies, souls through making healthy choices, good nutrition practices, discovering the joy in sports and physical activity, as well as learning how to forge healthy relationships and make responsible decisions.

Archery Camp

All summer camps are open to ALL base youth. Sign up for each camp through your CYP-BMS account!

Parent Advisory Board

The Child and Youth Program’s Parent Advisory Board (PAB) is open to all parents of children using the CDC, School Age Care, Family Child Care, or the Youth & Teen Center. Its purpose is to increase awareness of all CYP activities, and provides opportunities for parent involvement in events and programming.

The PAB meets quarterly and the meetings are held at one of the Child & Youth Programs facilities. For more information on upcoming PAB meetings, please contact the CDC at 701-747-3042.
